President-Elect

Charlotte Douglas, Audiologist, Saskatoon

Charlotte moved to Saskatchewan in 1988 after completing her M.Sc in Audiology at UBC. She began her career at Saskatchewan Hearing Aid Plan and after two years moved to Royal University Hospital to work as a clinical audiologist. While employed at Royal University Hospital she participated in development and implementation of the Saskatchewan Cochlear Implant Program and the Saskatchewan Newborn Hearing Screening Program.

Over the years Charlotte has participated in teaching and clinical research related to audiology. She completed her Au.D. through Central Michigan University in 2011. Charlotte is taking early retirement from Saskatchewan Health Authority and will continue to provide audiology services through her private practice- Hear2Understand Audiology Services. Her primary clinical interests include pediatric audiology, central auditory processing disorder, tinnitus/misophonia/hyperacusis and bone conduction hearing devices.

Charlotte continues to serve on a number of committees and task forces at the provincial and national level including SASLPA Pediatric Audiology Guidelines 0-5 ADHOC Committee and Canadian Infant Hearing Task Force. She looks forward to her new role as SASLPA president elect.
