What is an Audiologist? A Speech-Language Pathologist?

Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists diagnose and treat individuals with hearing or communication impairment. Both professions assist people so that they are better able to function more efficiently in their daily life activities. Whether working in private practice, in schools, or in hospitals, the focus is on assessing the cause of the impairment or disorder, and then devising the most effective treatment plan.
